Career Counselling is a pivotal aspect of Professional Development.This process involves assessing individual skills,interest and goals to help them to make wellinformed decision about their Academic and Professional path.
Taking into the account the aim of Career Counselling Desk was inaugrated on 28/11/2023 at Prodigy Public School, Wagholi under the guidance of Dr.Amita Kamat-Assistant Academic director of School Program and with the strong support of our Campus Director Dr.SachinAdmane.
Career Counselling - Bank Visit Grade XI & XII (Commerce)
On 13th September 2024, Grade XI & XII students from Commerce Stream visited Jaywant Multistate Credit Co-Op Society Bank for a career counseling session. The purpose of the visit was to gain insights into the banking sector, its various services, and potential career opportunities. The session was conducted by Mr. Shirish Sinde, a senior banker with extensive experience in the industry.He highlighted how banks facilitate transactions, provide credit, and promote savings and investments.
The students learned about various banking services including:
i. Savings and Current Accounts: Features, benefits, and requirements.
ii. Loans: Types of loans (personal, home, education) and the application process.
iii. Investment Services: Information on fixed deposits, recurring deposits, and mutual funds.
iv. Digital Banking: The rise of online banking services and mobile applications.
Career Opportunities in Banking:
Mr. Sinde discussed various career paths available in banking such as:
i. Retail Banking: Roles in customer service and account management.
ii. Corporate Banking: Opportunities in loan assessment and client relations.
iii. Investment Banking: High-level positions in mergers, acquisitions, and market analysis.
